Stations 5,3 & 2 arrived on location to find a 2 story vacant barn with the first and second floors well involved . All companies went into service with an exterior attack and extinguished the fire. |

Building Fire

Station 3, E5, E2, E200, and TW4 were dispatched to a building fire on Moseley Ave. Chief 3 with E 3 arrived on location to find heavy fire from side C, heavy smoke pouring out of the second floor, and a fully charged service line on the roof. The electric was secured by PECO, and the fire was quickly beat down and placed under control. |

2 Alarm Fire - Lenape Ave

Ladder 3 and Chief Raab arrived on scene with smoke showing from a 2 story split level single family dwelling. Chief 3 was in command and ordered all Companies out of the dwelling due to heavy fire conditions throughout the dwelling. Exterior operations were placed in service and the Companies eventually gained the upper hand and placed the fire under control. |

Mr. Currens was a retired Detective Sergeant with the Cheltenham Police Department and former Captain of the Elkins Park Fire Company. Dwelling Fire in Jenkintown

On February 20, 2008, EPFC assisted several other Companies with a dwelling fire on Walnut Street in Jenkintown. Heavy smoke was showing from the second and third floors of a three story dwelling with reports of a person trapped in the interior. A number of lines were placed in service. |

1997 E-One (Engine #3-1) Pumper Sold

| |
Our 1997 E-One (Engine #3-1) Pumper was sold on June 27, 2007 to a private firm responsible for obtaining specialty equipment for the Canadian Military. The Apparatus was purchased for Kandahar Airport located in Afghanistan for Military Security Operations. The apparatus was trucked to a port in New York for Shipment by Vessel. Engineers John Hearn and Tom Robinson and Treasurer Charles Obrecht were instrumental in the sale.
