Operation Save a Life – Once again members Charles Obrecht, John Hearn and Tom Robinson joined in with Channel 6's 16th year in "Operation Save a Life" campaign to continue the support with distributing smoke detectors to families in need.

Strategically place carbon monoxide detectors on each floor of you residence. Additionally, change your heater filters in the fall and have your fireplace professionally cleaned to avoid buildup.
   
Fire Prevention Week
Elkins Park Fire Company host “Open House” the Tuesday night of Fire Prevention week at 6:30pm, where firefighters will have demonstrations and offer safety precautions for the residence. Children will also be given fire prevention tips and the opportunity to have their photos taken on the apparatus.
